Medical Staff Profiles
A Medical Staff profile can contain information such as:
- Name
- Contact information
- Professional information
- Medical Role
- Qualifications
- Clinic memberships
- Services
- Availability
Medical Roles
Gist Clinic separates the professional title from the clinical capability of the user.
Medical Role Profiles can represent roles such as:
- Doctor
- Therapist
- Coach
- Custom therapeutic roles
The configured capability determines which clinical actions the Medical Staff member can perform.
Doctor Capability
Authorized Doctors may manage clinical workflows such as:
- Medication
- Lab Requests
- Imaging Requests
These actions remain subject to client relationships, clinic context, record state, permissions, and other applicable access rules.
Therapeutic Capability
Therapeutic professionals may work with areas such as:
- Session Notes
- Homework
- Psychological Scales
- Permitted Clinical Files
They do not automatically receive Doctor-only clinical capabilities.
Multiple Clinic Locations
A Medical Staff member may work at more than one clinic location.
There is no required Primary Clinic.
Clinic memberships are used when determining:
- Available services
- Appointments
- Availability
- Scheduling
- Relevant clinical context
Services
Services are associated with the appropriate Medical Staff and clinic.
This helps ensure that users select the correct provider and location during booking.
Availability
Medical Staff schedules can include:
- Regular weekly availability
- Multiple periods in one day
- Breaks
- Special Days
- Days Off
Administrative Access
A Medical Staff user may also have an administrative identity when authorized.
For example, the same user may be both:
Doctor + Clinic Admin
or
Therapeutic Professional + Super Admin
The user does not need a second login.
Administrative authority and clinical capability remain separate.
